Step 1: We prepare your floor by using a dust free diamond grinder to remove old coatings and to flatten any ridges in the concrete surface.
Step 2: We then patch any cracks, control joints or imperfections in the floor by using an odor free 100% solids epoxy paste.
Step 3: Now we are ready for the prime, or receiver coat which goes down at 80 square feet per gallon.
Spikes are put on our shoes which we use to walk into the wet coating to broadcast silica quartz into the receiver coat to the point of saturation, (1 lb per square foot).
Step 4: Once the first coat has set-up, we sweep and vacuum up the excess quartz, leaving a uniform texture and color.
Finally, we apply a top coat of 100% solids epoxy, leaving you with a 65 mil (1/16th of an inch) thick floor, that is slip impact, abrasion and chemical resistant.
Wait just 24 hours and then you are ready to use your new floor!
